The Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology Board of Trustees may approve both general and specific charges to the committees. The general charges to all committees are:
Members of the Foundation's committees should be completely familiar with the objectives and assignments of their respective committees; they should be available for committee assignments and committee meetings; and they should make every effort to contribute to and be active in the projects assigned. The Chairman of each committee shall make annual reports in writing, report on same and submit these written reports to the secretary for use as part of the minutes of the meeting, and attend meetings of the Board of Trustees as needed.
All committees are also charged with identifying important industry issues and presently appropriate resolutions to the Board of Trustees if such issues are not adequately addressed by current Foundation policy. All committee members are strongly encouraged to make a financial contribution to the Foundation.
Listed below are the committees in need of volunteers:
Education Committee
The charge of the Education Committee is to study, plan and develop education programs, to develop liaison with committees of interest from the dental profession, and to assist planning of all programs of education with organizations and entities approved by The Foundation.
The committee is to use the established criteria for qualifying candidates. Each candidate should be informed of his or her fiduciary responsibilities, scope of work, expected travel, and personal expenses and the term of service.
Fundraising Committee
The charge of the Fundraising Committee is to assist with the development of fundraising campaigns, identification of specific donors and to share your enthusiasm, vision and commitment to the organization with others.
The committee is to use the established criteria for qualifying candidates. Each candidate should be informed of his or her fiduciary responsibilities, scope of work, expected travel, personal expenses, and the term of service.
